Re: violence is Cool and you know it
Tue, May 13, 2008 - 12:39 PMviolence on many levels is a backbone to the comic book industry. That said however there are many levels to violence. The less intense the more acceptable to most of america (i.e. a good bitch-slap!). At the other end of the spectrum a zombie chewing on a still writhing humans brain (leaving nothing to the imagination) may get less acceptance. So where does your stuff fall? Do you have it posted elsewhere? -

Re: violence is Cool and you know it
Mon, June 9, 2008 - 9:27 AM"a zombie chewing on a still writhing humans brain (leaving nothing to the imagination)"-that pretty close but my goal is to 1st off present a work of art, I do believe that graphic violence has it place but I would rather creep someone out then make them puke. Now that I think about it it seams rare, even, for there to be anything gory in my stuff unless it is a zombie just sort of wandering around (which is pretty common). Most of the time violence is implied, sort of like the original Tex chainsaw original massacre when the girl is on the hook and there is that pan under her, there is no blood but everyone remembers blood and calls it gory.

Re: violence is Cool and you know it
Mon, August 18, 2008 - 8:51 PMI didn't know there was a 'no violence' rule here!
Does this mean that everything posted is subject to review by the Comic Code Authority? -

Re: violence is Cool and you know it
Mon, August 25, 2008 - 6:47 AMYes everything be approved by "the board" mainly consisting of the severed (but preserved and re-animated) head of Senator McCarthy and the other guys from the House Committee on Un-American Activities. Mess with them...end up black listed from comicon. -

Mon, September 14, 2009 - 11:50 AMspeaking of violence in comics....
anybody read Kick~Ass!?
Hit Girl is the most awesome comics character ever. period.
She kicks more ass than Wolverine combined with Electra wrapped in every hard~bolied detective story ever written and then shot out a howitzer. -
